Made possible under the general direction of Flora Gil, the album“Obatalá – Uma homenagem à Mãe Carmen” (Gege Produções Artísticas/Deck) was conceived by four “sons and daughters” – Iuri Passos, Yomar Asogbá, José Maurício Bittencourt and Luciana Baraúna – of the Candomblé yard of Gantois and members of the band Grupo Ofá.
The project was conceived by Grupo Ofá, and features Gilberto Gil, as well as Marisa Monte, Alcione, Gal Costa, Zeca Pagodinho, Nelson Rufino, Daniela Mercury, Carlinhos Brown, Lazzo Matumbi, Jorge Ben Jor, Margareth Menezes and many other artists.
